Storyline

The daughter of Reno's loyal long-time friend Assistant D. A. Wells begins going on a downhill spiral, entering a life of drug addiction. Upon further investigation, Reno and Cheyenne discover there is much more to this family tragedy than originally thought. They soon uncover a rather elaborate scheme involving black market drugs, a touring rock band, and a corrupt band manager who plans to use the girl to leverage Wells into dropping the impending case against her brother, a notorious drug dealer. Three beautiful women
19 January 2009 | by See all my reviews

District attorney Harry Wells, one of the few remaining friends and believers of Reno Raines, has a problem: his teenage daughter has run off with some dubious men who deal in drugs and also work on a traveling heavy metal music band. The manager of the band is a woman whose brother was convicted by Harry, so when Reno finds his daughter and persuades her to come back with him, the case turns into a kidnapping. Now it will take a team effort to get her back. The title of this episode - "Vanished" - is appropriate, because the episode will vanish from your memory right after you watch it. The only thing you might remember is the beauty of the women - apart from Kinmont, we have Rachel True (a 27-year-old playing an 18-year-old, quite passably) and Patricia Charbonneau as the first true villainess of the series up to this point (and it was about time, too!). Oh, there is also an early role for future martial arts star Michael Jai White, but don't expect to see much action from him here. (**1/2)
