Reno Raine's latest target appears to be "easy money": just a big dumb thug who likes to hang out at the beach. But before Reno can bring him in, he finds himself hit over the head and handcuffed to a bed by a seemingly bubble-brained waitress; she is actually a cunning bounty huntress herself, nicknamed "Dead End", and after selling Reno back to Bobby Sixkiller, she sets her sights on an even bigger target.
After three rather lackluster opening episodes, Season 2 of "Renegade" finally takes a turn for the better. This happens largely, if not exclusively, thanks to Cyndi Pass' lively, funny, sexy performance as the bounty huntress. Her "California cheer" seems overdone at the start, but you soon find out it was all just an act. I liked her character very much and it's a shame that she didn't reappear in the series. **1/2 out of 4.
