Do not underestimate a woman....or two
3 March 2009 | by See all my reviews

Reno Raines' latest assignment is supposed to be a walk in the park: he has to bring back to San Diego a woman who was arrested for assaulting a police officer and then jumped bail. However, he gets tricked by his target and soon he, Bobby and Cheyenne find themselves chasing her and her sister/accomplice before they can escape to Tahiti with the money they have robbed from banks.

This is probably the most lighthearted episode of Renegade Season 2 up to this point, and after three episodes that dealt with a mad killer, a terminally ill young surfer and Reno having visions of his dead fiancé, it was probably a needed change of pace. As the two heroines of the title, Mary Ellen Stuart and Claire Yarlett make an enjoyable team, and thankfully neither of them is "reformed" under Reno's guidance; they remain bad girls to the end, outsmarting the good guys nearly all the way. And since Reno can't hit a woman, Cheyenne's fighting talents will have to come into play. **1/2 out of 4.
