Trivia

Kryten's ideal partner is played by Robert Llewellyn's then-girlfriend (now wife) Judy Pascoe, whilst Lister's is played by Craig Charles's then-girlfriend Suzanne Rhatigan. The episode was originally aired on Valentine's Day. See more »

Goofs

While teaching Kryten to lie, Lister mentions (Lord) Nelson putting a telescope to his blind eye and stating he didn't see any ships. At the Battle of Copenhagen, Lord Nelson did put a telescope to his blind eye but stated he saw no signals (not ships). The signals were for him to withdraw his ships. By ignoring the signal, Nelson went on to win the battle. Lister saying (incorrectly) ships instead of signals, was probably deliberate to emphasis Lister's limited education. See more »

Quotes

[on letting the love of his life get away]
Kryten: It's the old story: droid meets droid, droid becomes chameleon, droid loses chameleon, chameleon turns into blob, droid gets blob back again, blob meets blob, blob goes off with blob and droid loses blob, chameleon and droid. How many times have we heard that story?
