Quotes

Johnny Yuma: Did you leave the bodies in there?
U.S. Army Officer: Right where we found them. That way it seems sort of fitting.
Johnny Yuma: Yeah - the blue and the gray buried together.
Ex-CSA Sergeant: Sure seems kinda final.
Johnny Yuma: I keep thinking about what a great leader said: "Now we must look to the time when the blue and the gray will blend into a nation reborn with a greater strength and purpose."
U.S. Army Officer: Sounds like Old Abe.
Johnny Yuma: Well, it wasn't. It was another leader - a man named Robert E. Lee.

George Macready and Ed Nelson
10 December 2011 | by (Youngstown,Ohio) – See all my reviews

Episode 4, "Vicious Circle," begins with two men searching Arizona for Captain Pollack (George Macready), a Confederate madman who plans to use gold mined by captive union soldiers to fund a scheme to finish what the rebels started, rather than transporting the gold east and turning it over to the union as promised. Yuma gets the lowdown from the two union soldiers who had earlier confronted him, once captives at the mine, now seeking the gold for themselves. The stolen gold is found still hidden in the now abandoned mine, littered by the corpses of dead Confederates, proving Pollack to be a traitor to the cause out for personal glory. Meeting their comeuppance in the darkness of the rickety mineshaft, Macready is his usual icy self, while the busy and dependable Ed Nelson would return for four more episodes.
