Mark Goddard and Ron Soble
19 November 2013 | by (Youngstown,Ohio) – See all my reviews

No elephants were harmed in the making of this episode. Actually, "To See the Elephant" refers to the misadventures of a young lad (Mark Goddard) who has never left his father's ranch, having taken care of his ailing mother till the day she died. His father (Ken Mayer, first of three) hires Johnny Yuma to guide the boy into town to collect a debt from unscrupulous Josiah Boyd (Ron Soble), who has no intention of honoring his word, using booze and broads to make the boy earn his keep. Mark Goddard had just ended his one season co-starring in JOHNNY RINGO, while Ron Soble continued his busy string of villains (fittingly, he was well cast in STAR TREK's Western episode "Spectre of the Gun").
