A stranger approaches the drive saying he's looking for work. They hire him, and he turns out to have been a fellow soldier and POW with Rowdy during the Civil War. It is also revealed that he is embittered by the way he lost his Virginia plantation and wife during the war, and had become a vicious bounty hunter to raise the funds to buy back his plantation. He claims, though, that he has given up bounty hunting. But the nervous drovers don't believe him and worry that they might have wanted posters on them, either through judicial mistakes or due to deaths they don't know about from past saloon fights and such that they fled from. Eventually we learn that he is after one of the men on the drive, and what a surprise it is! Written by
