The music played by the gypsies on a calliope (imagine schlepping a calliope across the plains, not to mention the wood and water wasted to get up a head of steam) is Julius Fucík's "Entry of the Gladiators", written a long time after "Rawhide"s events (1897). This same error occurs on "Gunsmoke", and no doubt many other movies and TV shows. See more »
