Susan Oliver and Lon Chaney, 21 April 2012
Author: kevin olzak (kevinolzak@yahoo.com) from Youngstown, Ohio

"Incident at Spider Rock" stars green eyed blonde Susan Oliver as Judy Hall, latest singing talent at Lola's Saloon, who loses her job when a skirmish breaks out due to Lola's thieving ways. Forced to accompany Gil Favor's cattle drive, Judy bristles at Favor's commanding personality, and drives the men to distraction in retaliation. Rowdy takes a fancy to her, and so does devoted husband Rock (Lon Chaney), who proudly boasts that he writes his wife every day, only to be ridiculed by the others for his illiteracy. Willie Cain (James K. Best) also takes an interest in the girl, especially when her true identity is revealed, being the daughter of one of the country's richest men. Both appearing in one of their last television roles are Chaney, who gets a nice death scene, and Mary Beth Hughes, who plays Lola. Susan Oliver will always be best remembered as the green skinned dancing girl from STAR TREK's pilot episode, "The Cage."
