Did You Know?

Stone Cold: Look me in the eyes and explain yourself, you tell me right now that I'm not the worlds toughest Son of a Bitch. You're as guilty as Shawn Michaels is. All I was doing was backstage, and you're trying to provoke me. Why I - That's exactly what you did 'cause that - as you can see I am a little pissed off.
Vince McMahon: Steve. It was just a figure of speech. "Baddest man on the plant" is a figure of speech.
Stone Cold: [Puts his middle finger in Vince's face] This is a figure of speech right here how do ya like it?

Tyson and Austin! Tyson and Austin!
9 April 2017 | by (victoria b.c canada) – See all my reviews

Live from Fresno, CA

Paul Bearer starts the show. He's getting MONSTROUS heat. He says he had everybody fooled into thinking Kane and Undertaker had reunited. He says he deserved a Golden Globe award. He brags about The Undertaker's "demise" at the Rumble. He calls the burning casket at the Rumble a "Towering Inferno" The Undertaker's music hits and out come the druids, wheeling a casket down to the ring. Kane pops out of the casket. Paul Bearer says Taker is dead and gone and he's Paul Bearer and you're not. Bearer was a brilliant, slimy heel.

DX is backstage. Shawn Michaels claims he's guilt ridden over what happened to The Undertaker. Shawn says they are gonna search the arena for The Undertaker.

Skull, 8-Ball & Chainz Vs Farooq, D'Lo Brown & Kama Mustafa

The match ends in a no-contest. The Rock and Mark Henry run out, but Ken Shamrock and Ahmed Johnson make the save. I honestly forgot Ahmed still had a job at this point. I actually love Ahmed. He just kind of deteriorated. Kinda like this match once it got started.

* out of 5

Vince Ruso promotes WWF Magazine. Meanwhile, a mini hearse shows up at the arena.

Marc Mero Vs Tom Brandi

Mero wins with a low blow. Need I say more?

*1/4 out of 5

Shawn Michaels and Triple H search for The Undertaker. They find a hearse, but when they open it, hot women are inside. Chyna's reaction is priceless.

Cactus Jack & Chainsaw Charlie Vs The Quebecers

The match ends in a no-contest after things get out of hand. This was an entertaining cluster f****, thanks to Funk and Foley. Never a dull moment with those two. Yes, this was The Qubecers return.

*1/2 out of 5

DX asks the midget wrestlers where The Undertaker is. Oh, the hilarity.

Jeff Jarrett Vs Bradshaw

Jarrett wins after Windham turns on Bradshaw. Windham was being used horribly. I can't say Bradshaw was being used horribly...because he got what he deserved. This reincarnation of NWA was a major flop.

* out of 5

The Undertaker descends down towards the ring from the rafters! Oh wait, it's Shawn Michaels! Brilliant stuff. It appears that DX is gonna have a cookout. Shawn says The Undertaker is finished, thanks to Shawn Michaels. Triple H says he is putting the European title on the line against Owen Hart next week. He says the ladies of Fresno don't need to ride Space Mountain because it's broken down. He says he's got the rocket if they want the ride. He mentions that Steve Austin is his next opponent. He says Shawn has already been a tag team champion like Austin. So...they're just gonna ignore that he and Shawn were tag team champions? He says Austin has to climb one more mountain and Shawn just happens to own it. Shawn says he sent everyone packing to WCW and he lays down for nobody.

Owen Hart, Taka Michinoku & The Headbangers Vs Los Boricuas

Owen's team wins after Owen makes one of the Borircuas tap. He says he'll break Triple H's other leg next week. The crowd was red hot for Owen. Not so much for anything else.

Intercontinental Title

The Rock (C) Vs Ahmed Johnson

The Rock wins after Henry helps The Rock. Ken Shamrock runs out and chases after The Rock. The match had some good intensity. Ahmed was almost done with the WWF at this point.

*3/4 out of 5

Mike Tyson gets all chummy with DX backstage.

Tag Team Titles

The New Age Outlaws (C) Vs The Godwinns

The Outlaws retains after Billy nails Phineas with a stuffed animal that has a brick in it. I had trouble paying attention because of my immense dislike for The Godwinns.

** out of 5

Vince McMahon introduces Mike Tyson as the "Baddest man" on the planet. Steve Austin interrupts. Austin says he's sick of everybody kissing Tyson's ass. He says he ain't gonna shake Tyson's hand because he's not here to make friends with him. He respects what he's done in boxing, but Jesus chr*** son, when you step in Stone Cold's ring, you're messing with Steve Austin and that's something you don't do. He says Tyson has his eyes locked onto the world's toughest sob. He says he can beat up Tyson any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Do I think you can beat my ass? Hell no. Do I think I can beat your ass? Hell yeah. Austin says he has sign language for Tyson and gives him the double bird. Austin and Tyson brawl briefly before Austin is held down by officials. Vince says Austin ruined everything. Amazing, amazing stuff here. Bold, brazen, and everything Vince lacks the balls to do these days. This is why Austin took off like a rocket.

To be honest, aside from Austin and Tyson and DX? This is a forgettable show with a lot of filler. I'll give it a 6 because it does have big moments, but it's an inconsistent show.
