Live from Tulsa, OK

The Nation of Domination starts the show. Farooq wants to know why there is racism in the WWF. Farooq plays the race card and demands Vince apologize for years of slavery, black's washing people's cars, building houses, etc. Vince says he won't allow racism in the WWE. (Yeah, right) The Rock says if the fans shut up for a few seconds, they might educate themselves. He says The Hart Foundation crossed a line they should have never crossed. It's now a black and white thing. He says he's bee dealing with discrimination all his life, but he's always gotten back up. When he knocks Bret Hart down, he won't be getting back up. Farooq challenges The Hart Foundation to a match next week on Raw. Bret accepts the challenge. He says he comes from a country where there is no racial prejudice. He says in Canada, they love everybody. Bret says Shawn Michaels and Triple H are responsible for all the problems between Farooq and Bret. Shawn says Degeneration X is innocent and Bret is racial to the core. He says Bret is only concerned about his image. Triple H says Bret used the 'N" word when they defaced the Nation's locker room. The Nation gets into a melee with The Hart Foundation.

Goldust (W/Marlena) Vs Triple H (W/Shawn Michaels & Chyna)

Ugh...I've seen enough of these two together. Rick Rude comes out. He says "What I'd like to have right now, is for all you out-of- shape, Tulsa, fat tubs of crap. He introduces Triple H. Triple H wins after Chyna nails Goldust with Marlena's purse. This was a terrible match. I was distracted by Shawn's commentary as well.

Jim Cornette says he's sick of the word "Icon" being overused. He claims Hulk Hogan an Roddy Piper use it way too much. He also says that Shawn Michaels is a godsend in the ring, but he's an adolescent child outside of the ring that threatens to go home if he doesn't get his way. Cornette absolutely rips the steel cage match between Hulk Hogan and Roddy Piper at Halloween Havoc and calls Hulk Hogan "Uncle Creepy" He says Hogan during his best years was 50% media creation. I don't wanna spoil everything, but it's quite the pipebomb.

Jim Ross, Danny Hodge, The Brisco's all get honored in Tulsa.

Intercontinental Championship

Owen Hart (C) Vs Ahmed Johnson

Ahmed wins by DQ after Austin stuns Ahmed. Austin was essentially a tweener anti-hero. Him stunning Ahmed made sense because he wanted to win the title from Owen, not Ahmed. Ahmed's mobility was ruined from him becoming overweight...and he couldn't move very well.

Mankind promo time. He says Dude Love was a jolly fellow that just wanted to have fun. He says Paul Bearer took an innocent kid and ruined him. He says he thought he and Uncle Paul had an unspoken truce when they amicably split. H He recaps their history together with his matches against The Undertaker in the Boiler Room Brawl and Buried Alive. The ubiquitous, Sgt. Slaughter comes out and says he won't approve the match. Mankind politely says "Please" to Slaughter. Slaughter still denies his request and says no match will be sanctioned between him and Kane. Mankind applies the Mandible Claw to Slaughter to a huge pop.

WWF Championship

Bret Hart (C) Vs Ken Shamrock

Shamrock has the title won with the ankle lock after Bret taps out, but the referee is knocked out. Shawn Michaels comes out and superkicks Bret. He attacks Bret until Shamrock snaps and destroys Shawn Michaels. Shawn and Bret then have a pull-apart brawl. This was an OK match, but rather mundane and slow-paced. It never really got going like it should have.

The New Age Outlaws Vs The New Blackjacks (Bradshaw & Barry Windham)

The New Age Outlaws win after Billy Gunn smacks Bradshaw with a chair behind the ref's back. The Godwinns and The Headbangers come running out and cause a big brawl. This was a terrible match.

Up next is an interview with Kane and Paul Bearer. It's not worth recapping.

Shawn Michaels moons Bret Hart, by undoing his pants and showing him his ass. Triple H puts an X sign in front of Shawn's ass. Funny.....

Flash Funk Vs Marc Mero

Mero wins with The TKO. Sadly, this is one of the better matches of the night. Believe me, that's not a compliment.

*3/4 out of 5

We get a candid interview with Jeff Jarrett. It's solid, but nothing noteworthy. He talks about the politic in WCW and his dislike of the Double J character.

The Legion of Doom Vs Los Boricuas

LOD wins after The Road Dog accidentally costs Los Boricuas the match. I'm not sure that Los Boricuas needed that much protecting, but oh well. The match was better than I thought it was gonna be.

Ahmed Johnson cuts a weird promo and says he's coming to get Steve Austin next week.

This was a disappointing episode of Raw. The lack of Steve Austin and big time moments hindered this one. It was watchable, but nothing more than that.

5.5/10
