Live from Munice, IN

Your hosts are Vince McMahon, The Honkytonk Man & Jim Ross

Owen Hart says Bret Hart is the reason he and The British Bulldog are at peace with each other now. He also warns Shawn Michaels not to say anything bad about Bret Hart tonight.

Owen Hart & The British Bulldog Vs The Godwinns

Owen Hart and The Bulldog win. After the match, The Godwinns accidentally slop The Legion of Doom when LOD corners Owen and The Bulldog. I didn't hate this match, but I didn't exactly care for it either. Any match involving The Godwinns isn't gonna be the greatest.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin Vs Billy Gunn (W/The Honkytonk Man)

Austin wins with the Stunner. The Honkytonk Man tries to recruit Billy Gunn after the match, but Billy drills him with a right hand. Austin's antics were entertaining as always, that's about the only good thing about this match.

The Commandant comes out and delivers a lengthy promo before introducing Bret Hart who is in South Africa. Bret says they still respect him in South Africa. In America, they cheer hyenas like Steve Austin. He says Sycho Sid has a million dollar body and a 10 cent brain.

Shawn Michaels is out for a promo. Shawn reveals that he and Bret loathe each other in and out of the ring. Shawn says Bret Hart has always been a bad guy. He says Bret always complains that the WWF exploits his family. Shawn says they exploit his family because Bret allows it. He says Bret would sell his mother for financial gain. He says he supported Bret when Bret won the WWF title for the first time, but when Shawn won the WWF title, Bret failed to return the favor. He says Bret left to see how the WWF would do and see if the WWF would fall flat on its face. The WWF did the best business it did in 6 years with Shawn as champ. He says Bret telling the fans that he returned for them is a load of horeshi*****. He says he used WCW to get more money from the WWF. He says he gets offers all the time to go somewhere else, but he stays loyal to Vince. He tells the fans to cheer for whoever they want and says his obsession with Shawn and the title will be Bret's destruction. Owen Hart and The British Bulldog come out, but Shawn chases them off with a chair. This was one hell of a promo from Shawn. The feud between Bret and Shawn was so great.

The Headbangers Vs Freddie Joe Floyd & Barry Horrowitz

The Headbangers win with the Stagedive. This was nothing more than a squash match.

No Holds Barred Exhibition

Ken Shamrock Vs Vernon White

Shamrock bloodies the poor kid by just drilling him with punches. Vader comes out and confronts Ken Shamrock. Nothing really comes of it.

Vader Vs Frank Stilleto

Vader squashes him and wins with a powerbomb. There is nothing else to say.

Gorilla Monsoon says if Sycho Sid doesn't show up for his match against Mankind, Steve Austin will wrestle in his place. Austin says he refuses to wrestle twice in one night. He says he doesn't care about all the Austin 3:16 signs and the fans going crazy for him, he's not wrestling again. He says he'll save Gorilla's ass if he can wrestle Mankind later tonight if Gorilla gives him Bret Hart at In Your House, otherwise Gorilla can kiss his ass.

Mankind cuts a great promo about his match with The Undertaker at In Your House. The Undertaker comments as well with a voice recording.

Steve Austin Vs Mankind (W/Paul Bearer)

The match ends in a no-contest after The British Bulldog, Owen Hart, The Legion of Doom & Vader get involved. This was a fun brawl until the ending. Both beat the snot of out of each other and it was fun to watch.

This is an entertaining episode of Raw. Raw was really starting to become a good show way more consistently around this time. I consider 1997 to be one of the best years ever in wrestling.
