ECW is in the house!

Live from Manhattan, NY

Your hosts are Vince McMahon & Jerry Lawler

The New Blackjacks Vs The Godwinns

The New Blackjacks win, but not without controversy. Phineas Godwinn's foot was on the bottom rope and the ref didn't see it. Does it really matter? The match was mediocre anyways.

Paul Heyman & The Eliminators from ECW make their way into the ring. The Eliminators beat up a ring attendant.

Steve Richards Vs Little Guido

Stevie wins with the Stevie kick. It's quite surreal seeing ECW in the WWF. The atmosphere was pretty fun.

Arm Wrestling Contest

Sunny Vs Marlena

The Honky Tonk Man is the guest referee. Since Marlena is injured, thanks to the attack from Chyna, Sunny offers Marlena to forfeit. Marlena says she'd get up off her death-bed before she forfeited to Sunny. After a bunch of stalling, Marlena has Sunny's arm down, but Sunny throws powder in Marlena'a face. Savio Vega comes down and threatens Marlena until Goldust runs down and brawls with Vega.

Thoughts: Sunny and Marlena are nice to look at, if nothing else.

Savio Vega Vs Goldust

Goldust wins by DQ after Crush interferes. Miguel Perez runs in and makes the save. This match was alright, I suppose, but it was a bit boring. The crowd wasn't all that into it either.

Ken Shamrock is in attendance. Jerry Lawler acts like they are buddies, but Ken Shamrock says Jerry Lawler is a liar.

Tazz Vs Mikey Whipwreck

Tazz wins. The real highlight here is Sabu coming out and jumping off the raw set onto security.

The Legion of Doom Vs The Headbangers

This is LOD's surprise return. The match ends in a double countout. I'm not sure why you wouldn't just give LOD the decisive victory here. I like The Headbangers, but they weren't a threat to the tag team titles yet. That would be a few months down the road.

We get the infamous "Tell me a lie" music video of Shawn Michaels.

Tommy Dreamer (W/Beulah McGillicutty) Vs D'Von Dudley

Tommy Dreamer wins with a DDT on the chair. Afterwards, Bubba Ray and D'Von hit the 3D on Dreamer. The Sandman comes out causes destruction as well. Paul Heyman and Jerry Lawler get into it with wrestlers having to hold Paul Heyman back.

We get a recap of Sycho Sid beating Bret Hart to win the WWF Title on the previous week. Bret Hart shouts expletives after the loss. It's also announced that Sycho Sid will face The Undertaker for the WWF title, and Steve Austin will face Bret Hart.

Ken Shamrock is interviewed by Todd Pettengill. Farooq comes out and taunts Ken Shamrock, challenging him to get in the ring. Shamrock says he'll fight Farooq if The Nation is left out of the fight.

Farooq (W/The Nation of Domination) Vs The Undertaker

The Undertaker wins by DQ after The Nation interferes. The Legion of Doom run out and save The Undertaker right before the show ends. This was nowhere near as bad as I was expecting it to be. I keep thinking back to their horrible match at King of the Ring in 97. That said, it's still pretty average.

Despite ECW being involved, and the Legion of Doom's return, this is a below average show.
