Quincy is a big dumb hypocrite in this episode....and the writer should have done a much better job.

I found this episode of "Quincy" to be quite annoying and strange. In this show, Quincy's latest girlfriend is an insurance investigator and she is rightfully looking into a HUGE claim after a top race horse dies unexpectedly. However, and this is the annoying part, Quincy gives this lady grief throughout the show--and pushes her repeatedly to just close the case and pay off the claim. This is ridiculous and can only be chalked up to sexism or Quincy's unwillingness to allow anyone to act like Quincy!! The usual inquiring mind, uncharacteristically, is very, very close-minded and this just doesn't make sense unless you accept that he is a hypocritical jerk! Regardless, this battle of the sexes simply isn't a good episode because of the way Quincy acts throughout the show. Otherwise, it's an interesting plot and almost worth seeing even if Quincy acts strangely. That's because there is a STUPID confrontation scene with the lady (Katherine Justice) and the owner (Craig Stevens) at the end that really makes little sense (why put yourself in such a dangerous situation?!). It's made even worse when there is no mention of the previous murder. Watch it and you'll see what I mean.

By the way, this is the second episode where Quincy is involved in a horse necropsy--which is an odd thing since he is not a vet!
