A very nice second part of one of the better "Quincy" episodes.
4 March 2013 | by (Bradenton, Florida) – See all my reviews

Even though this is the second in a two-part episode of "Quincy", it apparently was shown immediately after part one--not the following week.

In part one, we find Quincy and his VERY patient girlfriend at a conference at a Lake Tahoe resort. And, since Quincy's vacations ALWAYS result in someone dying, it's not too surprising that guests of the hotel begin getting sick with some sort of fever--a fever that ends up killing several of them. By the end of part one, the guests learn what is afoot and there is widespread panic that it COULD be Legionnaire's Disease--the same killer that scared the heck out of doctors the previous year in a highly publicized outbreak. Can Dr. Quincy and his associates get to the bottom of this?

Here in part two, Quincy continues to try to determine what is killing these people. It looks like it COULD be Legionnaire's but they aren't sure AND they have no idea how it's spreading. At the same time, mobsters are trying to buy the resort. Could the mob be deliberately causing the outbreak--or just taking advantage of the situation? Or, could another sinister cause be behind all this?

Aside from a bit of macho grandstanding when Dr. Quincy confronted a mob killer and the surprise villain, this is a very well made episode--and a worthy followup to episode one. Interesting from start to finish and well worth seeing.
