Episode #5.9
21 May 2012 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

I absolutely love Brian right now. I can totally relate to him, how it is when everyone around you wants to stop having fun because of age and start families. It is hard to lose your best friend to this disease of social conformity. I do have a feeling that there will be a happy end for Brian and Michael and they will stay friends but right now I really feel for him. And I loved the scene of him and Debbie smoking the joint and talking.

I also like the story of Justin's mother dating a younger guy. It is great that they brought it in. Women over a certain age are usually considered to be sexless and bigots discriminate against older women dating a younger guy. I like that they brought up this point, and show us Justin struggling with this just like his mother did when he came out. I hope that soon he realizes that what he does is unfair and supports her in her love life just like she did for him.

Drew's coming out was wonderful. It is sad that both him and Emmett lost their jobs because of homophobia but I am sure we will get to see them fight and hopefully he will get back on the field where he belongs.

Lindsay and Mel's coming back together scene was great, very passionate.

And I am also looking forward to see more on Proposition 14 and how it works out.
