Emmet, who feels like an outsider among his TV studio colleagues. After one show he's told 'The Queer Guy' is to be canceled as 'not queer enough', but his trade-mark flamboyant second one-minute segment turns the tide. Justin and Debbie help Mikey and Ben move into their new house. Fearing Mel's professional advantage, Lindsay sees no alternative but take Brian's money to get her own aggressive lawyer. Now Mikey feels like they'll have to split custody three-ways. Carl Horvath tells Debbie his income is enough for both of them, so she starts interviewing for a replacement.
