Tessa is thrilled when she meets Antonio, her former lover, at Montoya's party. She is less happy when she learns the reason for Antonio's visit - Montoya has hired him, the best swordsman in Spain, to slay the Queen of Swords. Did You Know?


When Tessa points her flintlock pistol at Antonio and threatens to shoot him, the frizzen on the gunlock is open. It is impossible to shoot a flintlock gun unless the frizzen is closed because there would nothing for the flint to strike and create the sparks needed to discharge the weapon. Further, if the frizzen were open, the gunpowder in the pan would quickly blow away rendering the gun useless. See more »
