Rather dumb if you ask me...

In the early 1950s, Reed Hadley starred in a reasonably successful cop show called "Racket Busters". You can find many of the episodes on archive.org's website and most hold up reasonably well today. Only a short time after this series had run its course, Hadley returned with a very similar sort of show, only this time he played a public defender and not a cop. But, the show was similar in that Hadley played a very similar and rather square character and the show's writing and pacing were also practically the same. Unfortunately, at this point only a small number of the "Public Defender" episodes are available...though the ones I have seen aren't nearly as good as "Racket Busters".

This episode, "Story of Nora Fulton" is the weakest of all the shows currently on the website. Much of it is because the story of who committed the murder and how seem absolutely ridiculous and created using psychological mumbo-jumbo. In essence, the killer dissociates and doesn't even know he's the killer...and it's up to a lawyer to work all this out and not the cops! Ridiculous and a bit painful to watch because it is quite stupid.
