Storyline

After a nightmare about lifelong wife-slavery at the stove, Syd enjoys breakfast cooked by Lily; Joanie is suspicious of so much household zeal and finds out it has to do with a letter to Syd from Children Services she hides... Robbie uses his creative genius to make a great TV commercial for the Barkery, despite Joanie's wining doubts and other setbacks. Heather eagerly helps him, and takes Jim's advice to take the initiative in unspecified unrequited romantic feelings, so she asks Robbie- as substitute in her bowling team... Syd's coy schoolboy patient Jackie (14) sneakily consults her for nothing but puberty, but she finds the real problem is at home. After initially resisting warnings from dad and college friend Nick Bekins, now in the D.A.'s office, about the Rutigliano mob connections, Syd goes back on accepting free clinic roof repairs from Paul, who gets more to endure...
