Trivia

Mickey Hamilton's comatose daughter Cathy was played by Michelle Beckley, an ardent fan of The Professionals who required oxygen tent hospitalisation in real life, like Cathy did. Her appearance in the show was arranged with the BBC's Jim'll Fix It (1975) programme. Apparently when she asked Martin Shaw how to play a comatose character, his advice to her was "Just act like Lewis Collins!". See more »

Goofs

When Bodie breaks into Hamilton's flat he wraps his handkerchief round his left hand. This comes off as he smashes the window with his gun and he grabs it with his right hand. In the next shot the handkerchief is tightly wrapped around his left hand again. See more »

I thought the character Mickey looked slightly familiar. It's the actor Ian McDiarmid who went on to feature in several Star Wars films.

Here he plays an unhinged character bent on taking revenge on the National Health service after losing his wife. He acts very well with an air of revenge mixed with despair.
