Great opening

Warning: Spoilers
Shades of the Baader-Meinhof gang in FUGITIVE, another mixed episode of the show. The beginning and ending of the episode are fantastic, particularly the snappy opening which is one of the best in the entire series for shocks and spectacle alone. The rest follows a German terrorist gang with good performances from the guest stars, including regular Hollywood Nazi actor Michael Byrne.

Fugitive

It starts off rather disturbingly. A man opens a hotel room where some people force there way in and throw him off the balcony from a high floor.

The dead man turned out to be a CIA agent and the people responsible are a deadly German terrorist cell.

Bodie and Doyle have a trail to Christine Herzog a German terrorist in hiding as a librarian looking to go straight.

Herzhog is arrested, Cowley thinks that the cell will attack a meeting of foreign ministers.

Bodie pretends to be an arms dealer to get inside the cell but he is rumbled. CI5 have to rescue him while setting up an exchange with Herzhog.

Something does not quiet work with this episode. A lot of it is pedestrian with a good opening shot and an action packed finale. However it is unfocused. I think the script needed a few more revisions. The actors in the terrorist cell really threw themselves in as villains. Michael Byrne has developed a nice career playing nasty Germans.
