Stan Conrad:So Forest, where did you do your mountain training?
Jarod:In the mountains, mostly.

Jarod:You were in the Army too?
Stan Conrad:Fifteen years. You ever come across a Sgt. Tripcheck? A Ranger instructor at Benning?
Jarod:Sounds familiar.
Nia:He's lying, Stan. He's really one of the Stooges.

*** This review may contain spoilers ***

Jarod volunteers in a search for a missing college student. Jarod is determined to save the college student and helps to console the student's mother. By his compassion and intellect, he wins over the heart of one of his fellow volunteers. He can sympathize with her childhood trauma of being snatched away from her family while she was growing up in Argentina, during a time of political turmoil. Thus begins his first male/female relationship. As Jarod is falling for his search partner, he contacts Sydney for guidance and information about the mysteries of the opposite sex. Jarod discovers the phenomenon of "Star Wars" and uses "the force" to pretend that he's the missing student. He meets some very interesting characters by the names of Big Bob and little Bob. Who helps him set up his moral reeducation of a greedy ranger. In the end Jarad's brand of justice prevails.
