Multi-Layered Episode
Hitchcoc17 June 2022
As far as trials go, we have a restaurant reviewer who entered a restaurant under false pretenses. This leads to a review on the filthiness of the place. The second is an elderly woman whose cat was brutally killed by a teenager who was showing off for his friends. The non-trial issue is Ellinor finding out the salaries of the various members of the firm. Lindsey is making more than twice what she is. There is a really cool fight scene.

Justice for Fur Babies

Warning: Spoilers
Totally biased in this review towards the finding of guilt for the creep who tortured and killed an old woman's companion animal. Even if our companions are "only animals," brutalising them brutalises the human owners ( who, btw, are also animals, albeit more advanced ones in some capacities). Instead of simply using the murder of the animal for shock & sympathy value, the person responsible actually did some jail time Yay! Secondarily, good episode as well on the evolving dynamics within the firm, & a wee touch of comic relief as Lindsay goes over the top of the conference table at Ellinore.

Guilty pleasure

Warning: Spoilers
I admit I played the scene where Lindsay leaps across the table a couple of times. It was just too good ... and justified IMO. Elanor hit way below the belt.

Lucy's line impeccably delivered: " they are just strategizing."

Re the killing of an innocent animal. Anyone who has ever owned a pet knows they are family members; we give them names, they have personalities. I was surprised that no one ever brought up that famous line "A society is judged by the way it treats its animals." Not sure who said it may have been Mark Twain ( i'm paraphrasing).

The killer did get jail time .... three months but nevertheless I thought it sent a message that killing someone's beloved pet for fun is not right. It's horrifyingly cruel And as the judge said it was a crime against humanity.
