The Lucky Lindy Airshow uses the nickname (Lucky Lindy) of Charles Augustus Lindbergh who, in 1927 at age 25, was the first person to fly a non-stop transatlantic flight from New York to Paris. He covered the 33 1/2 hour, 3,600 statute mile flight alone in a purpose-built, single-engine Ryan monoplane, "The Spirit of St. Louis".
