Meeting Chuck Connors and Sylvester Stallone
30 March 2006 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

We were visiting relatives in the area and came upon them shooting the series around the corner from where we were staying. I obtained Chuck Connors autograph and both he and Sylvester Stallone were sitting in their director chairs on the side of a building. While Chuck Connors was writing his autograph, Sylvester Stallone asked if I wanted his autograph...Not knowing who he was, as this was before Rocky...I said "No" and left once I obtained Chuck Connors autograph. As time went on and the movie Rocky came out, I realized whose signature I rebuffed. I wonder how he felt when I rejected his offer. It's strange how you remember things from 30 years ago. This really has nothing to do with the actual story line of Police Story...but just a little anecdote.
