It seems that Christopher Connelly made several episodes of this series. That's the first with him I watch. Nothing exceptional here, but interesting enough for me who love cops tales; cops among themselves and their so realistic behaviour that we can analyse in this series. I also liked to see Janet Margolin, who passed away more than twenty years ago. The scenes between her, as the school teacher, and Connelly were surprising for such a series but I appreciated it. Adequate action scenes and impressive acting too, so typical from the seventies. And it reminded me the other Jo Wambaugh's piece of work: THE NEW CENTURIONS, with SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS a downbeat ending.
Good episode, maybe among the best of the whole show.
