Abapellogopholis is a Greek Cypriot pupil and a bit of a bully.
When he returns to school he has several run ins with Mr Hedges and a fondness to ring the fire alarm.
Hedges attempts to discipline him lands him in bother with the pupil's thuggish Uncle Niklos, who does not take kindly to people telling off his nephew.
I guess for the times, it is full of stereotypes and at least it is funny.
Hedges is afraid and so is Potter when Uncle Niklos shows up. The pupils even give Hedges some self defence lessons as the other teachers leave him on his own.
However Hedges manages to placate Uncle Niklos by helping him with his English. They all become good friends and dance like Zorba the Greek.
