Storyline

A star struck young woman is involved with a famous Hollywood director. She then dies under mysterious circumstances. That's only the beginning before Marlowe cracks the case there is another death and body vanishes from it's grave. Before the half hour is over the famous shamus sifts through the suspects and cracks the case. This episode has a couple connections to one of the classic film noirs of the 1950's "Kiss Me Deadly". Paul Stewart the director of this episode played Carl Evello and Maxine Cooper as Janet who played Velda Mike Hammer's secretary in that film.
