One Of Best Episodes Ever
8 September 2006 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

It's "Fort Baxter Day" which means guests will coming, usually everyone's sister. That means the guys have to fix them up with dates. It's kind of a traditional thing at this affair. It's funny to see the men scramble around to get out of committing to someone that had in the past.

The monkey wrench is thrown into the mix when Doberman announces his sister is going to attend for the first time, and she needs a date, too. Everyone thinks Doberman is so ugly his sister must be a brutal dog, too. To avoid that, everyone pairs of with their friend's sister immediately, thinking anyone must be better than being stuck with Doberman's sister. It turns out one guy - Zimmerman - is left with no date, and Bilko goes to work to con him into being the lucky man.

After Zimmerman is fooled into volunteering (thanks to another con job by Bilko), well, we get to see what she looks like. One of the funniest scenes in the dream sequence where the guys fantasize about her, thinking she's like Marilyn Monroe (after Bilko had come up with "Mussleman's Theory" that the uglier the brother, the better looking the sister!)

This is one of the best-ever episodes in this popular TV show. It even has guest appearances by George Kennedy and Fred Gwynne, but if you blink you'll miss those two very young actors.
