Storyline

Billie Jo wants to move out of the hotel and into her own apartment in Pixley. She feels that she's outgrown living with her younger sisters, that the traveling back and forth to and from secretarial school in Pixley is more time than it's worth, and that all the eligible young men of the valley live in Pixley. Kate's response?: no. Billie Jo's sisters are on her side, the three who try to come up with ways to convince their mother. Kate finally gives in on the stipulation that she have approval of the place, and by association the landlord. Kate only agreed however as she believes there is not an apartment to be had in all of Pixley. She's wrong as Billie Jo finds a place that does meet Kate's standards, so Kate feels she can't renege. After a few days, Billie Jo states that she loves the feeling of independence, sometimes not realizing what the cost of independence is. And Kate, as much as she openly supports Billie Jo while trying to undermine Billie Jo's efforts, hates to admit ... Written by Huggo
