User Reviews

Solid Entry
22 November 2013 | by (Claremont,USA) – See all my reviews

Gunn at his sleekest and most immaculate. Two convicts break out and set up a plan to kill Pete that includes grabbing Edie. Plot was seldom the biggest draw for this ultra-stylish series. Series creator Blake was extremely canny in spicing the storyline with colorful characters, inventive camera angles (note how neatly he profiles Edie's eye-catching upper torso), and noirish effects. Note too how he gets the most out of the single city-street set. Can't help also noticing resemblance between actor Carricart (Walsh) and movie icon Humphrey Bogart. Anyway, it's a solid entry that helped establish the series cutting-edge reputation.
