Storyline

Rick Scott has been recovering in Mexico under the care of a pretty nurse, Joanna Monford. While he's away, his uncle Harvey Scott has been running the family business, a mining company. He's also been telling Joanna that it's very important that Rick stay in Mexico and not return to Los Angeles. A surprise visit by his brother Ben, Ben's wife Elayna and a mutual friend Pamela Blair raises the issue of just what his uncle has been up to and so Rick decides to return to LA. On board ship, he surprises everyone by marrying Joanna who had come to the conclusion that Pamela was his intended. Once in LA, it becomes apparent that Uncle Harvey has been acting strangely. Inane plot situation
18 March 2013 | by (Buffalo, New York) – See all my reviews

Too many elements get thrown into this particular Perry Mason episodes and are not mixed well. Anne Whitfield best known for playing Dean Jagger's granddaughter in White Christmas plays a nurse who marries Hank Brandt and winds up accused of the murder of his uncle Tom Tully.

For reasons I'm still trying to fathom Whitfield is hired by Tully to look after Brandt after an eye injury. But that's just a ruse to keep Brandt away from a company board meeting. There's embezzlement afoot and rather than look for help from his relations who are not presented as wastrels Tully goes it alone. Dumb decision in a rather inane plot situation.

Not the best Mason, the writers were getting tired.
