Did You Know?

So far this is the only episode of Peep Show that has been given an 18 certificate by the BBFC, consequently the Series 1 DVD is labelled with the 18 logo. This is because of the gay porn video featured in it. See more »

When Jeremy is driving Johnson's BMW, the hand of someone sitting in the back seat is visible when the camera points at Mark (Jeremy's POV). Only Mark and Jeremy are supposed to be in the car. See more »

Mark Corrigan: I really need to pick up my laptop from the IT guy before Johnson gets here.
Jeremy Usborne: I could... drive you.
Mark Corrigan: What?
Jeremy Usborne: Well, he gave you the keys.
Mark Corrigan: No, he forgot the keys after the pub, then he called to put me in charge of the keys until such time as he reclaims the keys.
Jeremy Usborne: It's probably an initiative test. Will you walk like some kind of stupid duck or will you drive like... Clarkson?

User Reviews

slightly uncomfortable yet still funny
26 March 2007 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

When Mark meets business guru Alan Johnson, a man whom he holds in very high esteem. The two plan a merger and to move in together. This prompts a disgruntled Jeremy to snidely remark that Mark is gay. Mark being Mark, he starts to question his sexuality. Meanwhile Jeremy swears off drugs on account of a 'very bad thing' which he struggles to remember. Up till this episode, the cringe factor, which while always in the series, gets turned up quite a few notches. I know it was played for laughs (NOT homophobic humour in the least, I hasten to add but there was one scene in particular that I felt went a tad too far, if only for the frontal male nudity. However that said, I still found the episode funny, just not as much as the previous three that came before it.

My Grade: B-
