"Pin It On Danny" finds the kids celebrating their mother's birthday, with Danny topping his incredulous siblings by giving her what appears to be a rather expensive broach. Keith is naturally suspicious, since the year before Danny's gift was after shave lotion (Danny: "they were out of cologne!"). Punky Lazaar (Gary Dubin, last of six appearances) phones Danny to alert him about a woman's lost broach, while Keith generously offers his assistance in exchange for half the $50 reward. After quietly pilfering his mother's prized gift, Danny buys a new broach from the jeweler (Liam Dunn, previously seen in "Art for Mom's Sake"), before heading off to collect the reward from Mrs. Pierson (Matilda Calnan), only to learn that his broach isn't the one she lost! Danny's English teacher Mrs. Bullock is played by beautiful Kathryn Reynolds, best remembered as Chester's secretary Claire on SOAP, known during the 60s as 'Kay Reynolds,' when she did seven TV appearances and two feature films. The featured song is the unreleased "I Wanna Be with You," composed by Wes Farrell and Gerry Goffin, previously heard in "The Strike-Out King."
