This is one of the best Only Fools and Horses episodes. Del tries to take advantage of Rodney's music interest when he finds out that the Shamrock pub is without a band on St.Patrick's Day. So he persuades his band, led by the "charismatic" frontman psycho called Mental Mickey, to play in a really hilarious scene. The gig goes awry and a rumble breaks out. After the game is over, Del tells poor Rodney the truth-he and his band are awful and will never make it, so he has to give up his dreams of becoming a rock star. Unfortunately Del turns out to be wrong as Rodney's band progress without him and score a hit! Rodney has to watch them play Top of the Pops.:P It really is a superb episode and features the then-uknown David Thewlis as one of Rodney's bandmates. Also the actor playing Mental Mickey does a good job. The show however is stolen by David Jason's Delboy as usual. He is simply awesome here.
