Some funny moments but the weakest entry of series two

Del, Granddad and Rodney travel to Benidorm on holiday.

This is an episode of two halves. Part one is the build up to the holiday and the sight gags whilst on holiday. Part two is when Granddad gets arrested and we get some of that great banter between the central three characters as he confesses to a past transgression whilst sitting in a jail cell.

The second half for me is the better of the two.. Lennard Pearce is on top form and Del's interaction with a Spanish police officer is pretty funny also. As there can be in Only Fools and Horses there is a slow build up to the final big punchline. I have to say in this instance works very well.

Overall I found the laughs were a bit thin compared to other episodes in the series and if I watch it again will probably cut to the jail scene,

This Doesn't Mean You're Getting Gibralter Back!

A rare episode where hardly any time at all is spent in the flat at Nelson Mandela House. Del, Rodney and Granddad instead head off to Benidorm on a discount holiday.

It's not bad. There are a few giggles here and there, mainly towards the end. Had this episode been part of series 1 it would have been one of the better ones; instead it's an average episode from series 2 - a sure sign that the show was starting to find its feet and head in the right direction.

Worth a watch.

It Never Rains...

This, like a few early 'Only Fool's episodes, offers more than it ends up delivering.

The Trotters on holiday - it should've been hilarious. However, once they get to 'Spain' (aka Bournemouth as of course this is the BBC) the pace drops, and other than a lovely speech by Leonard Pearce I can't say there's much else to recommend.

One to skip.
