Storyline

When the doctor tells Keith it's too soon to tell how bad Lucas's injuries are, he informs Haley, who throws Nathan out immediately and calls Peyton, who is with Brooke at the time. Mother Karen learns to her surprise Dan saved her boy by bringing him in and giving permission for surgery as his father, while Keith caused the accident under nearly illegal influence of alcohol. Karen and Deb comfort each-other at Lucas's sickbed, where Peyton briefly and Brooke more elaborately meet Karen. After Haley gives him the silent treatment, Nathan sadly admits to Deb he barely minds she's separating from Dan. Karen hears her insurance probably won't cover all the hospital bills, and finds out later that Keith paid the bill. Coach assures Karen not to doubt Keith's love for Lucas. Jake and the park court basketball gang make a get-better-video for Lucas; even Tim joins in making a chalk drawing on the court. Dan cancels marriage mediation, and isn't impressed by Deb's lawyer either, but gets a ... Written by KGF Vissers

Nathan Scott: Haley, look...

With Lucas he looks at me and he really see me, you know, like, right down into my soul
11 February 2013 | by See all my reviews

Lucas has a great view out his hospital window. Perhaps Karen could've saved some money and got a room without a view, or at least a room without a green screen fake view. I'm guessing that's what it was, seemed a bit suspicious to me.

I really do not agree or understand Karens reaction. Keith was under the legal limit. If the Police to not think he committed a crime, then neither should she.

I liked the Karen and Peyton introduction scene. Even they are meant to be together, not Brooke. Though Brooke is also great. Ah, these triangle are really doing their thing!

I disliked the tributes to Lucas. It seemed like an overreaction to a non event to me. Was it a writers attempt to make the situation feel serious, if so, I think it failed. I also knew he'd be fine, as if he would pass away.
