Storyline

In therapy with Deb, who by now wants a divorce, Dan tells he cut Lucas out of his life like a trapped man amputates his arm to survive. Haley gets basketball lessons (to pass PE) from patient Nathan, who to everyone's relief is back with the Ravens. Coach tells Keith he promised his wife 35 years ago they would 'start living' after 20 years of coaching; he just won 500 matches, but what about his most important intention: to make a difference? Strolling on the beach Dan meets Carrie, who fails to seduce him when invited to eat his spare steak as Nathan declined, but just then Deb walks in. Now Brooke believes Lucas is her first true love, he and Peyton don't come clean about the motel; but Haley overhears them and has a row with him. Nathan convinces coach he does matter for boys like him who still need guidance. While driving with Lucas, Keith is hit by another car. Dan is nearby and rushes Lucas to the hospital. Trivia

In the last shot, when the heart monitor is on-screen, the monitor says "adult", even though the doctor explicitly asked Dan if Lucas was a minor. In this episode we learn that Whitey's real name is Brian. Camilla Durham's grave says she was born on December 10th 1938 and died on October 12th 1996, making her 57 when she died. Before the accident, you can see Lucas is wearing his seatbelt. When Dan was pulling Lucas out of the car he wasn' t wearing the seatbelt. When Dan comes to the cafe to say to Deb that he needs to come home, you can hear someone say "No" before Deb says no, like some one off screen is saying it. At the end of the episode the heart monitor says "Asystole", then they start to shock him...... you can't use the paddles when someone is in asystole. Etm See more »

People that are meant to be together, always find their way in the end
11 February 2013 | by (Ballarat, Australia) – See all my reviews

I'm all for Lucas and Peyton getting together, but I'm not liking this ongoing sneaking behind the best friends back thing, especially in public. How arrogant is that? Even still, I do like it. Perhaps I'm immoral too, but if it's meant to be, it's meant to be.

One small thing I keep noticing that bugs me is the shot of Nathan's house from the outside looking over the grass in the front yard. It's shown every time before going to the set that is his house. OK we get it, he lives in a big place. It's weird that I notice it, so I'm thinking it isn't done that all, or else it'd be seamless.

Throughout this episode I got the feeling that Keith was trying too hard, and I could see a train wreck coming. Something like Karen met another man in Italy and brought him back with her. Turns out I couldn't see the car crash coming. Same effect though. I'm not overly disappointed in that relationship hitting a hurdle.

I do like seeing Dans softer side, and I feel for him when he was trying to work things out with Deb.

BIg cliff hanger at the end. I wonder if one of the main characters (if not THE main character) of the show dies...? Somehow I doubt it, especially seeing as it isn't the end of the season. They lose points for that, 2 to be exact.
