Pippa organizes a meal in a restaurant for Victor and Patrick to get them to be friends but the management assume they are a couple and have a violinist serenade them. The McKendrick twins are doing a loft conversion for the Meldrews and one is a tireless practical joker,to Margaret's annoyance. Then an old lady passer-by shouts abuse at them for shoddy work and Patrick assumes Victor is holding a drugs party. This is all too much for Margaret, who has just lost her job and fears she may turn into a grumpy female version of her husband. Written by don @ minifie-1

Margaret Meldrew: [answering phone] Four two nine one.
Margaret Meldrew: Oh, hello, Jean.
Margaret Meldrew: No, no, just out the back, putting Victor's spaghetti vongole through the incinerator.
Margaret Meldrew: No, we've tried putting it in the bin; the dustmen won't touch it. Not after last Monday's episode with the lobster curry. Said it clogged up their crusher for a week. This is a great episode. Christopher Ryan guests as builder twins, one of whom is a practical joker. Hilary Mason is a woman who has a grievance against said builders regarding a pelican and she swears every other word. Then there is Michael Fenton-Stevens as a rather wealthy friend of Patrick and Pippa, who drops some money, which Margaret finds, and Victor goes to return, and hilarity doesn't really ensue but it's still good... On top of all this Margaret has lost her job, and She's depressed about the prospect of her turning into Victor. Oh dear, I didn't want to insert a spoiler, still, it's only a little one. :) My favourite moment has to be when Mrs Stewkley is heading up to Victor's loft, having barged uninvited into his house, swearing her head off.
