Great Scene, 8 July 2006

One of the greatest scenes in Once and Again. The scene started with Wood reading Barton's letter (again), when Barton entered Wood's attic room, saying Wood's brother said she was home.Wood dropped the letter to the floor by the trash on impulse. Barton said she just wanted her sweater back and that she'd never bother her again. Noticing the letter laying by the garbage can, Barton pointed out that Wood missed the trash. When Wood said she never intended to throw it away Barton said the letter was a mistake and she wanted it back, because now Wood barely spoke to her. Wood responded by saying she just wanted to be friends and Barton replied she didn't want nothing Wood didn't want. Wood then made it known that Barton was so important to her, and Barton looked shocked to find that out. A hug soon followed, where Wood said she wanted to keep the letter forever. They exchanged nervous smiles for a second and then seemingly on impulse Wood pressed her lips to Barton's for an instant. Pulling back Wood was surprised at what she had just done and Barton agreed it surprised her too. Then realizing apparently it was exactly what she wanted, they kissed again.A second longer and oh so sweet and tender. They where last shown in this scene with their foreheads touching and smiling like they just found love.
