'Friends In High Places', written by George Layton & Jonathan Lynn, is probably the best of the post Reg Varney episodes, helped by the excellent performance from the stone faced Bob Todd, who graced 'The Benny Hill Show' for many years. Mrs. Webb was played by Claire Davenport, who specialised in playing no-nonsense women. She had appeared two years earlier as one of the female drivers in the first of the three 'On The Buses' movies.

Funniest moment - Jack's horror at discovering that Mr. Simpson is due to retire, meaning that all his perks have gone!
