Haggling Over the Price of a Meal
17 March 2006 | by See all my reviews

Another amazing episode to see all the carrying-on over how much Stan was getting put on his plate by the canteen girl, cuz Stan would sweet-talk her.

Blake caught on and replaced her with a woman who had been a prison guard and it showed.

Stan wondered how he could get food from her for the family's dinner tonight (Arthur refused to touch any of the stolen food), so Jack told the new canteen lady that Stan fancied her.

When Stan is trying to get out of the locked office that evening with his sausages intact, Blake overhears and thinks that STan is after the poor woman.

She confesses all, out of love for Stan.

And she is dismissed.

Blake has the canteen situation resolved with vending machines.

but it won't take Stan's bent coin.

"Oh, dear," says the little darling who is servicing the machines.

She gives Stan two free meat pie on the house for his inconvenience.

"Fancy a meat pie, Jack?" Off the guys go to bend up some more coins, much to Blakey's dismay.
