The Kangaroos
JordanThomasHall23 February 2018
Peter (Michael Callan) is pitted against his scheming office rival Wally Frick (Jack Riley) for a single open membership into "The Kangaroos". Nominated by their boss Mr. Brahms (Jack Collins), "the King Kang" of his chapter, the club works closely with the ladies auxiliary, "The Kangarettes", therefore the competition will be among couples. At the silly meeting where motions are carried out postured as kangaroos, Peter and his "occasional" wife Greta (Patricia Harty) and Wally and his wife Vera (Ann Elder replacing Susan Silo from previous episodes) are given their assignment for membership. Leaving their money behind, they are each given a scavenger hunt with a deadline that night. The first couple to complete it is awarded membership. Each couple comically uses their resourcefulness to gather items on the list. When Peter and Wally are imprisoned, they are not only competing for Kangaroo membership but for their well-being among their seedy cellmates.

The overplayed complications from the "occasional marriage" doesn't factor into this episode. As such it is a refreshing change of plot laced with comedy.
