Storyline

Ryan decides to not return to school, and makes a decision to take a job as a fisherman which Sandy reluctantly accepts. Marissa turns to her new friends, Johnny, Casey, and Chili, to help her with Ryan's situation when he tells her that he's leaving down on a fishing trawler for a few months at sea. Meanwhile, Summer and Seth team up to try to reveal the romantic tryst between the nasty Dean Hess and conniving Taylor. When Sandy learns about this, he uses his legal skills and poker-face tactics to play hardball with Dean Hess to let Ryan back at Harbor High, while Seth and Summer confront Taylor. Also, Charlotte finds out about Julie's downfall (now living at a flea-bag motel) and uses this to recruit her as her co-conspirator to plan another scam to try to rip off Kirsten and the Newport community. Quotes

Seth Cohen: If Taylor's going to fall for your plan, we need to speak in a language she'll understand.
Summer Roberts: Are you trying to say that you believe me?
Seth Cohen: No, not exactly, but there's just no other options. Do you have her cellphone number?
Summer Roberts: What? We're not going to call her. She's not a moron, just evil.
Seth Cohen: We're not going to call her, my little dim sum, we're going to text her. Or should I say, Dean Hess is.
[hands her a sidekick]
Summer Roberts: You got the bedazzled one? Pink, too? Wait, we can't text her an apology. We're texting ...

The Perfect Storm (#3.5)
17 September 2014 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

The dean is really after Ryan and makes sure he will not be able to get into any college. So Ryan decides to stop school and go to work on a fisher boat. It makes Marissa really mad, but Seth and Summer prevent it by using the relationship of the Dean and Taylor to bribe him to get Ryan back. And Charlotte wants to make her plan come through by buying Julie a condo.

Well some really clumsy ideas in this episode. Mainly the obsession the Dean has to go after Ryan and also how he believes there are pictures without even seeing them. But the moments between Summer and Taylor are pretty funny.

And I am curious about what Charlotte is thinking getting Julie a condo will do for her.
