Ryan becomes a bigger part of the family and has to make a formal debut into Newport society at the annual débutant ball. Seth still pines for Summer, while she's lost in lust for Ryan. Marissa saves them Ryan for the newcomer, Anna Stern (Samaire Armstrong) from Pittsburgh.
Kirsten learns from Sandy about Jimmy's crimes and Sandy avoids the entire community. Luke is beginning to be overwhelmed about Ryan. It's got a lot more chuckles than expected, but more so than anything, this is a dramatically emotional episode and one not very great for Jimmy.
It's fun to see Luke and Ryan bicker and to see Marissa's antics to keep Ryan away from Summer, but at the same time to Seth try his damnedest to develop nothing with her. I love to watch Sandy and Kirsten in the episode too. Peter has such great timing and delivery.
