Storyline

Now Julia McNamara has crashed trough a glass wall after having OD'ed out of frustration with her shattered family since Sean knows Matt isn't his biological son, she is dreaming an alternative reality, where just about everything is different and everyone plays an amended part, e.g. Christian Troy is a loyal husband- and still it is far from perfect for her. Sensational Alternate Universe Episode
2 September 2007 | by (Long Island, New York) – See all my reviews

This episode was and always will be one of my favorite episodes of Nip/Tuck, and definitely one of the best in season 2. For some reason, I really have a thing for episodes that take place in alternate realities, and this one is no exception. When Julia is put to sleep for her operation, she imagines what her life would have been like had she married Christian instead of Sean. The return of so many great characters from Season 1 makes this episode almost impossible to dislike. Famke Janssen also gives another great performance as Ava, and this episode is full of loads of interesting concepts and ideas. I wouldn't want to completely spoil it, but the episode concludes very nicely and there is plenty of foreshadowing scattered throughout the episode.
