I'll start off by saying this is the first review i am doing of this show, and i loved this show in 2001-ish. But i missed a lot of them cause i was 25 and having a good time back then and VCR's were skittish back then. This is one i never seen or maybe i did and forgot. who knows. but i enjoyed this episode, my only complaint is the end of the first part got confusing to me.
The first part was our Friend Luke Perry as some guy that can absorb the illness of kids that are ill and have a desire to live. It reminded me of that Sleepy Hallow show i watched a season of and they had that old creepy guy with the deep gravely voice that was narrating some show and i forgot all of it right now, but he was the "sin eater". he would take people who sinned and purified them by taking on their sin ,and eating it in some way. If you ever read a Bible, believing it or not and taking it for what it says, you'd see this idea is total crap but i digress. Anyhow he meets a sick girl, offers his services, she responds , then he goes to his hotel room, and orders a crap load of room service, and then as he is about to eat, it all rots and has maggots and bugs and worms all over it. and he eats it all, somehow not vomiting till after and that's more dry heaves. so he is told its killing his health by his local doctor. So he goes on vacation and is sitting in a coffee shop reading a book about Phsycology. Ever notice the new internet thing to say is "read a book"? kinda suggesting that someone thinks you are stupid and if you read some book you'd be smarter. Luke Perry is reading a book that makes him smarter, i was wondering , what books should i read to be smarter? OR what history books that aren't skewed to whatever? anyhow apparently there are books that make you so smart, you can become an internet know it all. but I'm off topic. So Dylan, i mean Luke Perry realizes that this lady is looking at him reading a book and diagnoses her concerns of her son who just repeats phrases. Long story short, it got confusing, he cured the kid, but then the whole family was murdered (kudos on making them all bloody but hte kid who looks like he is resting but dead) and then ti turns out it was his medication he took instead of eating rotting food or something or I'm not sure but at the end he is rambling the same phrases the kid he cured said and i think everyone is alive and hes nuts. Look the episode up and watch and you'll see a humorous but immature comment about how he is coming here and there as per what the kid and Luke Perry repeated and its gross but i laughed. The next story had a Doctor who had a wife, who was hot and i think the manager chic from Gremlins 2 ( i'll search later) and they are car shopping. She wants this red car that looks real old but I'm going by 2016 standards . Apparently its a newer car with 800 miles on it and Dr wants to buy her a new one but she is drawn to this red car. there's also a scene where she says to him he must be attracted to one of his students instead of her but he reassures her she is hot. I remember this cause i agreed. So she convinces Doctor it s time for a baby cause she is like Marge Simpson in Cypress Creek in that Scorpio Simpsons episode and needs something to do. so she decides to return the car but sees a chic in the back seat that startles her. stuff goes on, it rains a lot, she keeps seeing this chic who has a bloody razor and finds her pregnancy test and ID and i guess a lot more cause she lines the house with it, like one does with rose petals on a romantic night and Doctor comes home and follows it. Then he finds the ghosts ID and confronts wife who says she knows that he cheated and it was with this ghost girl, the very girl whose car he bought, Twice as she said , which was funny. He makes it look like a one time fling, but shes like you bought her a car and then she mentions the girl was pregnant and blows the Doctors mind. She leaves , gets in the car thinking she vindicated the dead girl and guess what, total twist ending i didn't expect, ghost girl seems to be upset with her cause shes nuts and as she is driving away, sees visions in the windshield of her and the doctor affairing,( which struck me as real dangerous) and stalls the car, locks the door and pumps the car with poison gas. so she dies, doctor finds her and holds her dead as the music plays and fog writes out "someday we will be together. " brilliant. all throughout htat episode the song "someday we will be together" was playing anytime she was in the car. I remember hearing that song on Lite FM and being impressed how well it was sung. now i have something cryptic to remember it by.
