In "Dead Air", Tom Fallor is a douchey shock jock, who's working another late shift alone at the radio station during a stormy night. He's trying to provoke his listeners to tell him scary stories. One of them starts talking about murder, so Tom cuts him off. The next caller is a girl, who's apparently alone in her house and increasingly strange things are happening there. Her roommate is missing, someone has messed with her food and there's a bloody footprint on the floor. Tom thinks it's a prank call until the same strange things start happening to him in the station as well. Is the girl's story getting to him and he's losing his mind or is this some psycho's sick idea of a joke? In "Renovation", Keith Miller and his wife and baby son move into their new home. Suspenseful stuff
3 December 2012 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This short-lived anthology series provided half-hour episodes of suspense and the supernatural. Henry Rollins was the Rod Serling-type host, and each episode starred at least one recognizable actor. The episodes can be seen on youtube. The two in question here feature Lou Philips as a wise-mouth FM DJ who eventually gets his comeuppance one dark and stormy night, and Gil Bellows as an ex-alcoholic with a wife and baby who moves into a house that was the site of a murder years ago. That episode plays out like The Shining and Amityville Horror. Both episodes work well because of the acting and tight pacing. No special effects, no fancy sets. And they work just fine without them. Sadly, the show was pulled after one season.
