Jack Cassidy is one of my favorite character actors, especially as the villain in the 3 Columbo episodes he's guest starred in; he plays his roles to the tilt and is as arrogant as anyone in that great series. In this particular Night Gallery vignette he portrays Marius, a paralyzed "half a man", as Marius calls himself; Marius was a former champion athlete with many trophies by his bed. He suspects his wife is fooling around with his doctor, whom he has summoned late at night to confront about his suspicion. Since the local bridge is out, the doctor must stay the night at Marius' house, and it appears that Marius has another plan in mind, as he now has the power to leap out of his body and pick up objects, such as the pair of scissors that he intends to kill the doctor with and have his wife blamed for it, since he is confined to his bed because of a terrible car accident. There is a twist however and I'll wait for you to find out what happens as "Marius doesn't live here anymore."
